The authorities in Chiang Mai have filed a report with the Bhubing Rajanives police in the northen Thai province to charge 11 officials from a Chiang Rai children's foundation with breaking Covid-19 rules.

Ten of the officials from the New Vision For Life foundation tested positive for Covid-19 after they set up booths at three major shopping centers and a land department office.

None of them used an app, quarantined or were vaccinated, the complaint alleges.

The foundation's website says it helps hill tribe children and children at a Christian school.

The group stayed at the Urban House 195 Hotel on the Chiang Mai - Hang Dong Road that has been ordered shut.

Between 6th and 20th July they set up charity appeal booths at three shopping centers.

These were the Meya Lifestyle Shopping Mall on the 3rd floor outside Kasikorn bank, Big C Donchan branch in front of SCB and Big C Hangdong branch near an ATM machine, reported Thai Rath

They also had a booth at the Chiang Mai land department offices.

People who may have contacted them at these booths are asked to get tested for Covid-19.
