A leading Thai arms manufacturer Chaiseri Metal and Rubber Co has denied any connection with an arms dealer alleged to be involved in an assassination attempt against Myanmar Ambassador to Kyaw Moe Tun.

Vice president of Chaiseri Metal and Rubber Co Dr. Noparath Koolhiran, told Thai PBS World that the allegation came as a major surprise to her as she had no knowledge of the person alleged to be behind the assassination plot.

“Our company has been working for the (Thai) army for more than 50 years. We have been doing maintenance work for the military. We have never known anything of this sort. We have nothing to do with it. We want to clarify that our company has never been involved at all,” she said.

Careful, lady. Pleading innocence too loudly easily can make you look incredibly guilty.
