On the face of it, it would seem that it is just "pot luck" no matter which visa you need or when you need it.

There is no uniformity at all - meaning you can get a different interpretation from different Thai Consulates

no matter where they are.

You can even get different interpretations from different "officers" who are at the same consulate or even

the same border point. Each one will tell you what they feel like telling you at any given time.

There may or may not be uniform "laws" but as long as those are very gray and vague there is always

going to be mass confusion.

It is very nice that people are explaining what and how they did it as far as visas go, but that does not mean

that it will be the same for everyone.

It is very clear in the forum from all the posts regarding visas that confusion is abundant and as long as

the "immigration officers" interpret the "laws" a they see fit - each one to his own - then obtaining any kind

of visa at all is just pot luck.

just my 2-penneth...... :o

Never had a problem with the Immigration Dept's interpretation of my visa applications, despite having many

visa types over the years !

Could be you're a bit paranoid ... But there again, they may really not like you :o

Perhaps a new approach next time.

Naka.
