Let´s just assume he was out for a walk.

The awning broke his fall.  Good job that or he might have hurt himself.

Actually, I think the awning broke his legs.....

What was this guy doing on the roof of a gold shop anyway? And why is 5 P.M. for the police "night time"?

That's what I call 'Comedy Gold'.

????

I never took that jovial "break a leg" slang seriously. Well, here's one. Twice lucky! Broke both legs.

Or the abrupt stop on concrete.

Not looking for the front door, that's for sure.

5pm? Maybe escaping out the window from his girlfriend's place when her husband came home from work ????

They should check the man's backside for signs of the shopowner's boot print.  I suspect the owner "helped" this man out a 5th storey window after discovering him breaking into his gold shop.

Checking for loose tiles, as the owner had, had problems before with tiles falling.
