PPTV 36 reported that the Restaurant Buddy page of the Thai Restaurant Association on Facebook announced a drive to get all staff in restaurants, cafes, hawkers and street stall owners and staff vaccinated this month.

 

They have been urged to register and seek jabs at the Central Bang Sue station.

 

The free vaccine is being provided by the Ministry of Public Health to both Thais and foreign workers in restaurants. 

 

Regulations expected to be in force from October 1st in deep red zones stipulate fully vaccinated staff or compliance with 7 day ATK testing regimes. 

 

The latter will cost restaurant owners money so they will be keen to get their staff jabbed.

What happened to the CCSA drive to vaccinate the elderly and sick first. More flippery slippery flopping?

Two things that stand out in the news today 

 

- government pumping sinovac 

- threatening to exclude unvaccinated people from normal society

 

couple that with - every Thai I know does not want sinovac

 

I think it is pretty obvious what they are trying to do

Does this mean the elderly getting another back-seat again?

I could not sit and eat in a restaurant knowing that the waiter may have had the vaccine that could have saved an elderly person's life.
