ASEAN NOW Posted September 6, 2021 Share Posted September 6, 2021 Following the Ministry of Education's declaration on August 31 that schools in low-risk locations would reopen, at least two provincial departments of education and district authorities in the capital are preparing for students to enter the schools for in-person classes. Authorities in each district of Phnom Penh began cleaning up public schools in preparation for the reopening of schools, following the directives of Governor Khoung Sreng. The Boeung Keng Kang District Authority, led by District Governor Them Sam An, and inhabitants of the district, students, and instructors cleaned the Chea Sim Boeung Keng Kang High School campus in Sangkat Boeung Keng Kang, Khan Boeung Keng Kang, on September 4th. According to Governor Sam An, the school's cleaning now includes the use of disinfectant in classrooms and the surrounding regions. District authorities in Chbar Ampov have completed the cleaning of Chbar Ampov High School and are only waiting for disinfectant to be sprayed.
