leosmith
I am a fully vaccinated US citizen, tentatively planning a 5 month multi-country trip (tourism) beginning in November. November in Brazil, December in Colombia, and January thru March in Thailand. I know the situation is changing almost every day, but I have some questions: 1) Are fully vaccinated US tourists allowed to enter Thailand via Colombia at this time? 2) Are any additional vaccinations required for people entering Thailand from Colombia? I recently found out that a yellow fever vaccination is required to enter Colombia from Brazil, so I want to be sure.

Popular Post mvdf
Apart from the published immigration and health formalities, be sure you're aware of the contents of your bags at all times. US authorities (the DEA in particular) regularly flag suspicious itineraries and forwards them to their counterparts in destinations where, historically, there have been cases of detentions involving foreigners flying such routes. An example of such an itinerary is US or Canada to Colombia, Peru or Brazil, then onward to South East Asia (usually with Emirates which I believe would be the only airline flying Brazil to Asia via Dubai). It is a typical trafficker's itinerary. The resulting flag will or could lead to you being more stringently checked by Customs at your destination airport. Not saying that you have such intentions but this happens. 4
BritTim
At the current time, anyone entering Thailand needs a COE (Certificate of entry). Whether this will still be the case in January and, if so, the conditions that would apply at the time to acquire the COE is a complete unknown. At this point. It is not even totally sure what the requirements will be two weeks from now.

I you sure there are flights that could be arranged for transiting through the US. Or through Europe to here.

There's not much explanation on that map - does it just mean I need to route through the US, for example, or does it mean since my trip will originate in Colombia I can't go regardless? That map is only for entering the countries shown on the map. I am not sure up to date that map is. You can travel from Cambodia to here and enter the country. You will apply for the COE to the embassy in Lima, Peru. Checked on the COE webstie and I can only select a AQ when using Colombia. leosmith
I have another question regarding entering Thailand. Below is a list of things they say must be on the certificate of vaccination, and one of the items, passport or ID number, is not on mine (there is not even a blank for that). Everything else is on there - will they accept my certificate? (edit - what I have is a CDC card, standard US issue covid vaccination certificate) Edited October 5, 2021 by leosmith
ubonjoe
The will accept it without your passport number on it. Other have had the same problem and it was accepted. I suspect very few countries put passport number on the certificates.
leosmith
Hi all. I am now in Colombia until the 9th of January. I know things have changed, but I just wanted to confirm that if I wanted to go directly to Thailand now, I would have to do the sandbox, and that would require a 5 day quarantine. True or false? Also, what do you think the chances are of them doing away with the approved country list, or adding Colombia to it, within the next couple weeks? If you enter from a unlisted country you have stay in a AQ or SHA+ hotel for 7 days. See: https://tp.consular.go.th/en/plan I doubt the list of countries for the test and go will be changed and it might get shorter if anything due to the Omnicron variant.

I read through that and have some questions. Keeping in mind that I'm a US citizen, and want to go to Pattaya for 3 months. I'm coming from Colombia, so I will need to go via sandbox. Questions: 1) Is the T8 health declaration form now incorporated in the Thailand Pass? 2) Is the T6 immigration form still a separate form? 3) Is my 60 day tourist visa independent of the Thai Pass, meaning I won't need to get it before the Thai Pass? 4) Can anyone suggest cheap/easy to purchase medical insurance to cover the requirement? And the T8 is no longer required for entry. Is the T6 you wrote about actually the TM6 arrival card you will complete before entry? 3. There is no linkage between the . A visa is not required for the Thailand pass. Her is the latest info from the MFA. https://image.mfa.go.th/mfa/0/zE6021nSnu/กอง_0302/Thailand_Pass_FAQ_THAI-ENG__17_Dec_2021__17.00_hrs__.pdf 4.
