Daily News reported yesterday that a registration site for victims of a huge online fraud known as "Nas App" was very busy in the first five days since it was set up.

 

Pol Col Krissana Pattanacharoen said at RTP HQ yesterday that after the tech police started a Google Form more than 4,000 victims had registered in the case.

 

These people have lost around half a billion baht, he said.

 

He urged all victims of the fraud to preserve their evidence and come forward with it.

 

He said that experts in the identification of the money trail were being called into help the police in what was a fast moving fraud.

If they ban all tourists from the countries that usually do these online crimes, they'll only have the Indians left for 'open up' day. Course you can add them in too if its a 'you've had an accident recently or your computer has a problem' phone call scam

Let's hope they have more success than they do when following the money trail of the unusually rich BIB, army generals, and politicians ....

when are people ever going to learn, it's all about greed , they

think it's easy money , end up losing the lot , there will be another

one coming along soon , and people will fall for it , 20 - 30 % interest,

weekly..........????  what could go wrong !!!

Made me laugh this one did.  I thought the RTP would have been top experts on ID'ing money trails and fraud or are they really aiming high and getting in some govt ministers?

I happaned to see ,few days ago, an online ad from a billionaire called Thaksin, offering

a get rich quick scheme from interest on bitcoin deposits,or something like that.

It doesn't say that, it says the registration to report the crime has been busy in the 5 days since it was set up.

so why don't they explain what the ' Nap app '   is and does so others can identify it and learn .....   ?
