Daily News reported that the Facebook page of the National Water Command issued warning number 18 about the danger of runoff and landslides in many areas of the upper south and south of Thailand from tomorrow until Sunday.

The warning comes as the met office advised about monsoon troughs hitting further up Thailand.

Areas that could be hit are Kaeng Krachan, Ban Lat, Tha Yang, Muang and Ban Laem in Phetchaburi.

Bang Saphan and Bang Saphan Noi, Muang and Sam Roi Yot in Prachuap Khiri Khan.

Tha Sae and Pa Thiw in Chumphon.

Muang and Kapoe districts of Ranong.

The NWC also warned to watch reservoir levels in these areas.

Their website also contained warning #19 about rising levels of the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok, Pathum Thani and Nonthaburi, notes ASEAN NOW.

From Thursday through Sunday levels are expected to rise 30 - 50 cms.

Thailand has experienced widespread flooding in recent days though many experts have said that Bangkok would not flood this year.

When anyone says there will not be any flooding, I worry. I would only believe God, and God,  does not put out daily

or even weekly notices.
