The Governor of Phnom Penh, Khuong Sreng, has encouraged the 14 district authorities to focus their efforts on preventing the spread of COVID-19 so that all places can reopen as soon as possible.

The Governor's plea was made during a meeting in Phnom Penh Capital Hall on Monday, October 11, 2021 with the 14 district authorities, relevant departments, and competent troops under the administration of Phnom Penh.

The Governor stated that the Phnom Penh Capital Administration has implemented a number of new policies to combat the spread of COVID-19, including requiring COVID-19 vaccination cards, immunization cards, or immunization certificates to be displayed at all times when entering and exiting educational institutions, markets, and business locations in Phnom Penh.

This task must be carried out efficiently by the 14 district authorities.

His Excellency feels that if we execute our job correctly and consistently, COVID-19 will spread less.

The Governor of Phnom Penh also expressed gratitude to the 14 Khan authorities, relevant working groups, all groups of doctors, dubbed the "White Army" for their care, and all competent forces who have dedicated their physical and mental strength to working day and night to prevent the spread of COVID-19 disease.

Specifically, our authorities and troops have acted effectively in accordance with Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen's advice to protect people's lives.

Please be advised that the Phnom Penh Capital Administration has issued additional instructions to the people, the management of educational institutions, the market committee, the business owners, the location owners, the private sector, and the public to present COVID-19 vaccination cards or immunization certificates every time they go to school, market, or business locations in Phnom Penh
