Popular Post webfact
At a video link during a birthday party recently, a deputy leader of Pheu Thai, Kriang Kultinant, in conversation with Thaksin Shinawatra (left), put forward Khunying Potjaman na Pombejra (right), the former wife of the ex-premier, as the party’s potential prime ministerial candidate for the next General Election. Mr Thaksin appeared to discourage the idea suggesting that a more enthusiastic and younger person was required for the role. A video clip of the interaction is being taken by Palang Pracharat Party MP, Sira Jenjaka (centre), to the Election Commission with a complaint under Section 92 of the political parties act claiming that Mr Thaksin is a dominant influence on the party and that consequently, it should be disbanded. The government’s top legal expert, Deputy Prime Minister Wissanu Krea-ngam, has dismissed the significance of the video conversation as mere political discourse despite efforts by the Chairman of the House of Representatives Law, Justice and Human Rights Committee, MP Sira Jenjaka, to have the matter brought before the Election Commission for review. A senior member of the Pheu Thai Party informally suggested nominating the former wife of Thaksin Shinawatra, Khunying Potjaman na Pombejra, as the party’s lead candidate for Prime Minister in a video conversation with the ex-premier which has emerged in public in recent days sparking a call from Palang Pracharat Party MP, Sira Jenjaka, to have the matter reviewed by the country’s Election Commission with a view to having Thailand’s largest party and the main opposition grouping, dissolved by the Constitutional Court. The Pheu Thai Party has denied speculative reports that it was considering the wife of former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra to be its main candidate for prime minister in the next General Election. The report comes as a video has emerged of an exchange between the former premier, in exile in Dubai, and senior party members at the home of the former Minister of Energy in the government of Yingluck Shinawatra, Pongsak Rattapongpaisarn, in the course of birthday party celebrations. Amazing Thailand. Buying land on the cheap is child's play in Thai politics. A bit like the head of a Mexican drug cartel getting a speeding ticket. The current mob have much better credentials - they have a convicted drug trafficker in their ranks, and no doubt that's the tip of the iceberg in terms of activities they've never been convicted of. The only reason that guy was convicted is that he was caught in Australia. Had he been caught in Thailand it would have all been a big misunderstanding, the lawyers and judges would be driving red plated S series Benz and it would have been brushed under the carpet. 7

Popular Post jonclark
Right so let me get this straight. She has not actually been formally nominated to be the PM, just some idle chit chat in a party meeting? Is that Correct? Has PTP even submitted its formal nomination yet.I do not think they have. But some jumped up MP wants to now dissolve PTP for thinking about doing something, even though they haven't actually done anything. 1 2
