These two pill formulations both have 875 mg of Amoxicillin and 125 mg of Clavulanic Acid. Are they the same, provide the same benefits? Amoksiklav is about half the price of Augclav.

But I think maybe you have the price difference reversed?

 

Amoksiklav is imported (sandoz) whereas Augclav is locally made so the former should cost much more than the latter.

Thanks Sheryl, Augclav costs me about 330 baht at Fascino for a box of 14 pills and I’ve been quoted 120 baht for Amoksiklav, package of 10 pills.

Maybe that is Amoksiklav GPO, rather than Amoksiklav?

I don’t know. In the photo sent to me the side of the box says Amoksiklav 2X. I’ll post a shot of the box when they arrive.

I am always able to buy Amoksilav 1000mg X 10 for under B200.  Same compony distributes AMK 1000mg X 10 for B250+

Cavumox is another Augmentin clone available.  Usually over B300

Paid 140 for 10 at MediSafe Bangkok. Shipped to my place.

Local pharmacy is 180.

It's somewhat relevant as a long term treatment seems needed.
