The Philippine National Police will soon reach its 100 percent vaccination target for all personnel, according to PNP Chief Guillermo Eleazar.

“PNP has more than 223,000, non-uniformed personnel. Eighty-nine percent are now fully vaccinated. That is around 199,362 police officers,” said Eleazar.

In an interview with the Sakto program on TeleRadyo, Eleazar said that 10 percent of them or more than 21,000 are just waiting to be vaccinated with their second dose.

“That is 99 percent at least vaccine,” he said.

According to philippineslifestyle.com, in Metro Manila, of the 23,000 staff of the National Capital Region Police Office, 98 percent of them have been fully vaccinated, and only one percent are still waiting for their second dose.

So far, he said, there are only 538 active cases among the PNP.

Meanwhile, the Philippine National Police (PNP) is already preparing to guard the areas that can be flooded by people today in Undas.

Cemeteries will be closed from Oct. 29 to Nov. 2 to prevent the possible spread of COVID-19.

Aside from the cemeteries, the police are also expecting an influx of the public in areas where many industries have been allowed to open now that Metro Manila has been downgraded to alert level 3.
