Sheryl
Specifically a doctor i.e. a psychiatrist? or a therapist? Or both? A psychiatrist will only (and, in Thailand, pretty much always) prescribe medication, it is what they do. and they will do this based on a few minsutes conversation with you. While medication is sometimes necessary for depression, it is not always...and it is best combined with therapy. I recommend you see one of the Western counselors at one of the places below. Ben Weinstein is especially recommended unless for language/cultural reasons you prefer a European.. If after working with you, the therapist thinks medication is necessary, they will refer to a psychiatrist...and the psychiatrist will take their insights and recommendations into account, increasing the odds of getting the right medication. Because unlike a psychiatrist, a therapist spends significant time with you and gets top know you pretty well. https://www.psiadmin.com/ https://ncsbkk.com/ncs/index.php/counseling/about/ If you are set on only medication and not open to therapy - or if after seeing a therapist it is decided you require medication - then this doctor is well recommended: https://www.bumrungrad.com/en/doctors/Suttiporn-Janenawasin
