Immigration stamps

Featured Replies

Is there a rule about when you are stamped in and your clock starts? I have had flights arrive at 23:30 and not made it to the Immigration counter until after 24:00 yet been stamped in based on my flight's arrival time. If I my flight were to be scheduled for a 00:10 arrival and make it to the counter at 00:30, would my clock likely start based on the flight's arrival time? I have been "shorted" a day in the past as a consequence of flying from California on my miles plan but now have the freedom to start fresh with another carrier whose flight arrives after midnight. Unfortunately, with Covid it makes a two-night hotel stay hard to avoid so getting that extra day might cost a hundred USD. Thanks for your input and take care.

Normally the stamp is dated form the moment the stamp is done by immigration.

OK thanks, Ubon Joe. Maybe the officers are grumpy working that late. I know I'd rather be at Club Krystal than be stamping in foreigners. ???? I'm gonna give the even later flight a shot and see if I get lucky. Thanks yet again.
