Wow!  Finally!  Here's an informative YouTube video not created by some low budget expat posting random videos hoping to supplement his meager retirement check.

 

Concerning the video, I'm not impressed with the Philippine Tourism Secretary.  She's just spouting off numbers with a vague idea of how to go forward.  It's obvious they have no real plan.  They will just sit back and wait until all their neighbors open up, then they will follow suit.

 

Interesting that they put so much emphasis on domestic "tourism".  They should just be calling it domestic "travel".  I think they are trying to take the pressure of themselves.  "Tourism is up!" they can proclaim because someone books a flight from Manila to Davao, when in actuality, the trip's purpose isn't tourism at all.  Just someone going home because they lost their job in Manila...
