interesting - perhaps for you there even is a fast road to regain thai nationality.

but that is such a rare situation, you wont find any help in here, you have to go to san plu and ask the officers.

You obtain a tourist visa from a Royal Thai Consulate and it allows a 60 day stay in Thailand that can be extended for another 30 days by a visit to Immigration and payment of 1,900 baht. Singapore is a list "A" country just as the USA, UK and Australia are so the same rules apply. The 30 day entry is without visa.

I suspect Singapore, as Malaysia, may not allow dual citizenship and that is why poster has renounced it. I would ask Immigration about PR as you might not require the extension of stay procedure if on house registration but only they can answer that.

I'm not sure how easy it is to get PR back once you have renounced your Thai nationality. The rules for applying for PR are contained at the top of this sub-forum, you shoudl start there.

From singapores perspective though, getting you Thai nationality back is probably a no no.

One thing you could probably get is an extension of stay based on your former Thai nationality. That would allow you to stay for up to a year, and you'd have to show proof of your previous status as a Thai national. However, that is not the same as PR.

Its a pity, you gave up your Thai citizenship. As a Singaporean, you don have a chance to retired. And living in a tiny boring country (oops, a city) i mean. The apartment flat is more like a pigeon hole in a concrete jungle. Good Luck Dude.
