Daily News reported that pregnant women who have carried for 12 weeks should urgently seek vaccinations to protect both themselves and their unborn children.

Take-up of vaccinations of pregnant women has lagged behind the rest of the population it emerged yesterday after Bangkok's governor Gen Aswin Kwanmuang chaired the latest meeting.

Bangkok reported 790 new infections and one death. In the country as a whole there were 45 deaths.

But noteworthy was the fact that 39 of these had not been vaccinated.

In Bangkok from the start of vaccinations at the end of February this year to November 14th a total of 8.7 million people had been vaccinated with one dose.

This actually exceeds the registered population of around 7.7 million by 13%.

A total of 7,457,957 people have been double-vaxxed in the capital.

This represents 96.87% of the registered population.

ASEAN NOW notes that much of the population is transient.

When it comes to pregnant ladies 10,474 have had a first dose and 8,274 two doses.

These represent 35.24% and 27.84% respectively hence the call for more to come forward and get their jabs.
