A Chonburi bank robber who went viral for his calm demeanor and ease of robbing a local bank has been arrested in Chainat.

The suspect easily got away with 600,000 baht after robbing a bank in Phan Thong last Friday, (November 12th). Our reference article of the original incident can be found below.

Chonburi Provincial Police Lieutenant General Attasit Kitjaharn told TPN media, “We tracked down the suspect from CCTV footage. The suspect drove his own motorbike away, complete with the license plate on it, after robbing the bank. His motorbike ran out of gasoline on his way home and he hired a taxi motorbike to take him home in the Baangao sub-district.”

Using his own motorbike and then running out of fuel when trying getting away.

Why didn't he ride direct to the police station and stop wasting fuel and everybody's time.

gold shop robbers that drop their mobile's on the way out & bank robbers who use their own bikes as get away cars and then run out of petrol  !!

Thai robbers really need to lift their game if they're to have any chance of getting away with it   ......

you couldn't make this stuff up if you tried   :cheesy:

Not such a smart guy.

just goes to prove ...any fool can commit a robbery, its getting away with it thats the hard part

The reason this sort of poor performance with bank and gold shop robbers is patently obvious.

They haven't translated "The dummies guide to robbing a Bank" into Thai yet.

Making it too easy for the Police to catch him, he will

have time to reflect on his stupid mistakes.

600K.... only if he would block the number plate...

If he hide the money and tells cops i finished it already or likewise... he can get the money back with a clean white page in 5 years

Actually he is not the funny part of the story here but the bank... pretty sure the teller is in this as well.

He had ฿600,000 in his pocket and he ran out of fuel?

This robber is thankfully like a lot of them, not much for brains and too lazy to

work at an honest job.  Guess he will have a story or 2 to tell in jail.

Geezer
