Popular Post webfact
Picture: Manager A youth group called "New Kids Opposed to Gambling" made up of several national youth organisations have presented a letter to parliament expressing their opposition to the opening of a legal casino. Representing the group Natthapong Samphaokaew presented a letter to house speaker Chuan Leekpai though his representative on Wednesday. The move came just before the issue gained traction across the political divide with a 60 member commission now set up to look into the matter. Natthapong admitted the suggestion of a legal casino was hardly new but affirmed that his group was opposed to it and online betting. He said they were not opposed to the setting up of a commission but wanted a proper and open public debate on the issue rather than a secret rubber stamping. He expressed his concern that corruption would rear its ugly head in the issue and he wanted a proper study done on the effect to society at large with all the pros and cons weighed up openly. He stressed the angle of damaging society several times in the report by Manager and called for public representation before any far reaching decision is made. The rep who received the latter thanked the group and promised to take their observations forward. Which it will be, the man on the street will have no say in this, just those who will benefit from a Casino to hide dirty money. Residents will continue with the gambling as it is..."mostly underground"

I didn't take it as them being clueless about the corruption in fact a survey taken years ago reported in the Bangkok Post that Thais feel a bit of corruption is good for society? ???? the article stated he was concerned " that corruption would rear it's ugly head in this ISSUE " issue meant to me gambling? What is clueless is there are plenty of studies done around the world today all they got to do is a Google search. Then look at the corruption that goes on now with the BIB in each province and district of Thailand the reason the government leaders want to make it legalized. This is the same B.S. in California when certain Counties wanted to open Indian casinos they wanted to do studies all the studies indicate the problems that come with gambling nevertheless it sill pass with flying colors wherever they can find an Indian???? one opened. The only excuse Casino has is that it provides jobs and bring in revenue. I remember when they voted in the Lottery in California 1980's said 50% would go towards schools today the school district are still broke there is corruption everywhere in some degree here in Thailand they are listed 90-100 and it is clear it is everywhere one can only imagine with #1 is like Nigeria? Bravo to the kids for trying but in the end, sadly this will pass hope I'm wrong this time but if they provide a cheap 5 star buffet and let the Freelancers roam around freely like in Macau I might be a hypocrite and dip in????? And rightfully so! There are more than illegal ones around to keep everybody happy -- proprietors, police, and punters.

Where exactly did I ridicule or mention the Thai way of working? Be specific. Edited December 4, 2021 by Bluespunk Typo
