Battambang and Pailin to allow cross border work, under strict conditions

Featured Replies

Migration workers in Battambang and Pailin provinces will be allowed to go to work in Chanthaburi province, Thailand from December 8 from 6am to 5pm, under strict health measures.

Battambang provincial governor Sok Lou, Pailin provincial governor Ban Sreymom, and Chanthaburi provincial governor Suthee Thongyam yesterday held a meeting at Doung International Border crossing in Kamrieng district, Battambang province to facilitate the opening of border gates for Battambang and Pailin provinces and the bringing of Cambodian workers to work in Chanthaburi province, Thailand.

Through this meeting, it was agreed that the opening for workers to enter is only in Chanthaburi province, and all workers who enter must comply with all conditions and safety measures in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Health. All workers must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 and have a second dose vaccination card. The Thai business owner will be in direct contact with the workers.
