webfact Posted December 13, 2021 Share Posted December 13, 2021 Two State Railway of Thailand workers and a passenger were injured when an improvised explosive device (IED), thought to have been planted by southern insurgents on the rail track, detonated as a local train was approaching Kok Pho district of Pattani province Monday. SRT officials said that train No. 452 originated in Su-Ngai Kolok district of Narathiwat province and was bound for Nakhon Si Thammarat. The train driver drove on until the train reached Ta Paed station, in Thepa district of Songkhla. Two railway employees, and a passenger were injured. All were rushed to Kok Pho hospital for treatment.
