Funny thing, back in Texas I rarely ate bananas, but do daily here now. Texas has quite a lot of fruits, like Thailand, but are easier to find and much less expensive. I ate nectarines, blueberries, raspberries, peaches, pears, plums, apples of many varieties, strawberries and an occasional banana. After H Pylori eradication here, the gut took a beating from the antibiotic regimen, so bananas, more rice and toast have been on the daily menu, along with probiotics, sauerkraut, kimchi and more yogurt, and it's improved since. Back home, breakfast was usually whole grain cereal with blueberries sometimes, wholegrain toast with Dalfours Jelly, and after leaving, an iced coffee on the road. Here it's oatmeal with banana, two scrambled eggs, almond or soy milk, wholegrain toast with Dalfours and iced coffee. Some bananas here are really good and some bland, and I find many varieties here.
