June 9, 200718 yr Public Health officials keep close watch against hemorrhagic fever in Krabi, after a number of cases were found.68 patients who are carrying hemorrhagic fever were found in Muang District of Krabi alone, but fortunately no fatal cases were reported. The situation prompted the Public Health Office in Krabi to keep a close monitor on the situation in prevention of any more contractions. They specifically focused on the Muang and Lanta districts which had a higher number of patients than other areas. Health officials also sought public cooperation in preventing mosquitoes from laying eggs, mostly in unattended vases or pots. June 10, 200718 yr It should not be a big problem - like flue symptoms for a week. If you've got it before you migth have the hemmorrhagig kind - it's an allergic reaction - and that's more serious. You will then have subcutaneous bleedings, internal bleedings and that could be very serious. But this only happens to the people who stay here permanently.....
