webfact Posted January 8, 2022 Share Posted January 8, 2022 Picture: Naew Na Naew Na reported that a reporter on his way home in Khuan Khanun district of Phatthalung in the far south of Thailand came across a huge python slithering across the road yesterday evening. He whipped out his phone as this would make a great TikTok post. The light from his headlights attracted many people from their houses who scared the snake and made it seek refuge in a hole by the side of the road. Ten men tried to pull it out but couldn't get a grip. So some rope was tried but even this proved to be unsuccessful. Eventually a piece of bamboo was used so that the men could effect the serpent's removal. With a "1-2-3 Pull!" and the incantation of an expression used in a cultural ceremony the operation was over after an exhausting hour! The snake was five meters long. The locals bagged it and took it away for the return to nature. They said they didn't want it in their neighborhood because of fears it would eat their piglets and fighting cocks.
