Newborn Baby Found Abandoned in Pickup Truck in Phuket

A shocking discovery was made on 9 April, in Phuket when a local man found a newborn baby boy with the umbilical cord still attached, abandoned in the back of his pickup truck. The incident occurred in Soi Bangtao 12, Moo 2, Tambon Choeng Thale, Thalang District. Authorities from Choeng Thale Police Station were alerted after the man, who was preparing to drive to work, spotted the infant wrapped in a pink towel in the back of his silver Isuzu D-Max pickup. The infant was still alive when discovered, and emergency responders from Choeng Thale Subdistrict Administrative Organisation quickly transported the baby to Thalang Hospital. The newborn was later transferred to Vachira Phuket Hospital for further care. Pol Lt Col Khajornkiat Kamwichairat, Deputy Inspector of Choeng Thale Police, confirmed the report and stated that a full investigation is underway to identify and locate the individual or individuals responsible for abandoning the child. The car’s owner told police he had no idea how the baby ended up in his vehicle and was left stunned by the discovery. Police suspect the newborn may have been placed in the truck overnight or in the early hours of the morning before being noticed. Authorities have urged anyone with information to come forward as they work to determine the circumstances behind this distressing case. -- 2025-04-10 -

Reality check investors are serious people industrialists are serious people they thrive on stability not chaos…..to me this development looks like 2 things #1 a classic dump and pump with the privileged few making a killing or it finally occurred to the orange train wreck he’s killing the golden goose…..either way it’s at best ill responsible and stupid or perhaps it’s malicious most likely a combination of the two with a huge dose of narcissistic personality disorder thrown in……….we the whole planet are paying for this.we Americans obiously have egg on our faces ….my country men elected this clown. -

Police have apprehended a Malaysian national suspected of robbing a gold shop in broad daylight in central Hat Yai, making off with gold worth over 9 million baht. The incident took place at approximately 11:55 on 8 April, when a lone gunman stormed into the Thai Udom 2 Gold Shop on Montri 1 Road in Hat Yai district. Armed with a handgun, the suspect threatened staff and escaped with 138 baht-weight of gold jewellery, valued at around 9 million baht. Following the robbery, police swiftly launched a manhunt and obtained an arrest warrant for the suspect, identified as 61-year-old Malaysian national Yee Boon Long. Authorities coordinated efforts with multiple agencies, inspecting trains, buses, and border checkpoints amid concerns that the suspect may attempt to flee the country. Further investigation revealed that Yee had a lengthy criminal history. Twenty years ago, he was involved in a major gold shop robbery in Butterworth, Malaysia, escaping with approximately 50 million baht worth of valuables. He is believed to have been living in Thailand for over a decade and had previously been arrested by Thai police for a 2017 robbery at another Hat Yai gold shop, Thai Yindee 2, located in the city’s central plaza area. According to the latest reports, Yee was captured while trying to flee via the Southern Bus Terminal in Bangkok. He is currently in police custody and undergoing interrogation.
