Hi everyone,

I want ask a question. I come to Thailand with an OA retirement visa in last  1 June.

Now i want to make an extension for this Visa. I understand that i need to open a bank account with a Thai bank and put 800 k deposit.

I want ask: if i open a thai bank account around 25 march and deposit the 800 k, is this too late?

Second questions is: If i go back to Holland, my homecountry. Can i there extend my OA visa or do i need to make an all new visa?

Thank you in advance,

Kind regards, Markmakmak

You are required to have the 800k in Thai bank account 2 months prior to application for extension.

Regardless you should open a bank account asap. They cost 300baht.

You can not extend you visa in Holland.

If you exit Thailand and reenter prior to expiry of your non O-A you will be stamped in for 12 months.

You will require 400/40 insurance for extension.

Think best you indicate your longer term plan for accurate advice
