damole
Does anyone know a place where I could get some kitchen knives sharpened? In India and Nepal there are people who cycle around with a whetstone connected to the drivetrain on their bicycles so it's really easy https://www.ifixit.com/News/7768/modified-bike-in-mumbai Edited January 17, 2022 by damole

MrBrad
On Highway 1006 heading east toward San Kampaeng, shortly after the Highway 121 interchange, there is, or used to be, a knife merchant on the north side of the highway. I remember reading some good recommendations about his sharpening skills. You might want to check there. https://goo.gl/maps/12TWKoZovXZRVHgZ9

brommers
By the time you have schlepped out to San Khamphaeng & wasted hours searching it would have been easier to go to Food Hall & get a cheap sharpener in their kitchen section. I got a very nice diamond coated electric sharpener in Central that does an excellent job.
FriendlyFarang
Get a whetstone for 200 baht on shopee or Lazada and after some practice you can sharpen knives for the rest of your life without relying on others and risking that somebody ruins your good knives. I recommend getting a 1000/3000 double sided one. Actually 1000 is already fine enough, with 3000 you get a knive sharp enough to shave your hairs. Everything above 3000 is not necessary.
