webfact
Thai PBS reported on an accident in Ban Thopsork, in Muang district of Mae Hong Son province in the mountainous north of Thailand. A minivan carrying tourists from Bangkok hit a barrier and plunged five meters down a ravine. Six people were rushed to hospital after the accident on Tuesday. The media said that the driver failed to negotiate a bend perhaps due to unfamiliarity with the narrow and winding mountain road. Or maybe because of negligent driving. Police investigations are ongoing. Fookhaht
“The media said that the driver failed to negotiate a bend perhaps due to unfamiliarity with the narrow and winding mountain road. “Or maybe because of negligent driving.“ If he blew it on reason #1, folks, then it follows he’s guilty of reason #2. And I’m no genius. ????

Golden Triangle
I've driven up that way, on plenty of winding unfamiliar roads, uphill & down dale, never had a problem, if I noticed a queue of traffic behind me because I was taking it easy then at the first safe opportunity I would pull over and let the traffic go, what is wrong with these morons ? Andrew Dwyer
1864 bends on the loop, it’s tiring negotiating all those bends, uphills and downhills. No place for the “ always in a hurry “ “ get out of my way “ “ don’t you know who i am “ minivan drivers !!
Andre0720
I have observed drivers and riders on Chao Fa East road here. Finally I have determined that these people were simply RACING. Have to be in front of whatever is ahead. Which of course is indistinguishable from reckless driving, negligent driving, irresponsible driving, and 'no fear of dying' driving. LOS, Land of the stultified.
tomazbodner
When it described "narrow and winding mountain road," I expected something barely wide enough for a car, without asphalt... Kind of like this: I certainly didn't expect this: 1
