Swiss1960 Posted January 22, 2022 Share Posted January 22, 2022 I had a lawyer look into it. Main question is, whether there is a father on the birth certificate. If yes, he must either voluntarily give up his rights OR be removed by a court, IF there is compelling reason for that (I.e. sexual predator). My gf is going to adopt her niese now, and I will maybe adopt her after we get married to secure her two passports for future before she gets 18.
