wtboatr
I'm from the USA. I'm married to a Thai national. We haven't registered our marriage yet in Thailand. My wife is working on her citizenship and therefore does not want to travel to Thailand at this time. My question is: Can I purchase a foreign quota condo in Bangkok as the sole owner without my wife on the chanote? or are married couples obligated to purchase a condo together in Thailand? Thank you, Edited February 5, 2022 by wtboatr

wobblyjohn
Your future wife would only be entitled to half if you buy in your name after you are married in Thailand Best to buy now just incase it all goes wrong
Peterw42
Yes you can, but it would be considered a marital asset and subject to spit in a divorce etc. Name on the chanote doesn't mean much if it was purchased during marriage.
