I was told by KTB bank that I cant set up a regular monthly payment to my landlords bank account

Featured Replies

I want KTB bank to automatically debit my KTB savings account and credit his bank (not ktb)

The KTB lass told me that it cant be done. Only KTB to KTB.

Is this BS? If you currently have a KTB and are doing the above please advise how you managed to do it?

Im surprised that it cant be done....

Yes, I'm quite sure it's BS. Do you have online/mobile banking? if so you can do it yourself. There's no need to even visit the branch.

Maybe only the recurring to another bank is the problem.
I use KTB app sometimes to move money around. But never check for recurring payments.

It is sort of correct. You can only schedule recurring transfers to other KTB accounts.

But with the mobile app (KTB Next) you can setup a monthly payment to another bank (though for at most 24 months into the future).

Note that this is not possible with their web banking, so I suspect that the transfers are actually done by the app itself, i.e. the app on your phone will wake up and perform the transfer each month.
