Is there anybody out there that uses the program Parallels Desktop on Mac?

I am using the program and I am quite happy with it when I need to run a Windows program on my Mac, especially syncing Dopod against my computer.

The only problem is that when you start using this program, the default size of the virtual hard disk is 8 GB and I have got dangerously low on space on my VHDD. I have searched on the Parallels forum and have found two different way of expanding the size of the hard drive described on these two links http://forum.parallels.com/thread9102.html and http://forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?t=1481

I was wondering and hoping that someone else in Bangkok had actually tried this and could lead me through the process just in case I <deleted> up, which I very well might do since I am not a expert. And that is what I would like to prevent.

So, if anybody out there has done this procedure and are willing to "hold my hand", I would appreciate it very much.

Looking forward to hear from someone tech savvy person.

Offhand NFI (moved to vmware fusion) but why not create a second vhdd and mount as drive D or something? then just shift your documents of files that take up space to that. (heck - just create a share on your mac and dump files there even).

I was just worried what files I could move and what files I should leave alone. The windows folder on drive C: stays untouched, but what about the folder Program files? Would that create a problem if I moved that folder to a new vhdd? Those are the two biggest folders.

well if you are short of space, i assume you still have space. Within windows, you can map new drives to directories (similar to *nix's symbolic links). mounting a drive as "Program Files2" or "More of My Documents" should be trivial - windows does at least ask for the path when installing files.....
