Thai Road Carnage: Same old story as motorcyclist hit by pick-up while making a U-turn

wow... if you are stupid enough to make such a dangerous manouever, at least look to see what is coming... that is just crazy.

there are stupid people all over the world - the problem is that Thai road engineers still think that U-turns are a good idea. the fact that such thinks exist t all means that inevitably people will try something. Properly designed roads don't allow idiots to do what comes naturally.

unfortunately this then results in idiots thinking they are great drivers without realising that it is the road design that is protecting them and they are in reality still idiots.

  • If it took the driver 100 metres to stop and there were body parts strewn all over the road, then the  pickup was going too fast. 500 baht fine.

  • Indeed it is the "same old story".   Why bother printing it?   Not had enough lists of "never to be applied" solutions?

  • It does say motorcycle over took on the left then cut in front......so bike at fault .. nothing to do with speed of the car surely..
