Popular Post snoop1130
Opposition and Pheu Thai party leader Chonlanan Srikaew accused Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha today (Thursday) of being the root cause of all the pressing problems now facing Thailand, ranging from the COVID-19 pandemic, the economic slowdown, the high cost of living and the spread of African Swine Fever (ASF) to the failure of political reform, the increase in household debt, unemployment, bureaucratic corruption and other issues. He said that the best way to solve all these problems is for the prime minister to step aside and for a more capable person to take his place. Alternatively, the prime minister could dissolve parliament and hold a general election. Taking the floor at the start of the two-day general debate, to “grill” the government, Chonlanan said that his role, as a “target pointer”, is to outline the flaws, failures and shortcomings of the government in the handling of a host of pressing issues, which will be followed by other opposition MPs who will add detail. OMG! When I read that I thought that here we have an opposition political speaker/statesman/leader starting to rip into the democratically elected leader of a country that needs reforming from the inside. Not only of it's political system but all it's corruption and cronyism and begin his opposite number's legitimate parliamentary downfall! Unfortunately It was a dream as I woke up and remembered I am still in Thailand!

Popular Post smedly
he's laughing at them from behind that mask because no matter what happens everyone knows exactly who rules, doesn't matter about votes - the people of Thailand can tick all the boxes they like, there is only one way this will end unless the people of Thailand book them a flight - escort them to the airport and freeze all their bank accounts .................... maybe not in that order

brianthainess
When is 'Tony' coming home to sort this mess out, he knows more about what is happening in Thailand than any of these charlatans. It was him that exposed the hoarding of pork.
