The national Covid-19 vaccination committee has announced that medically eligible children aged 3-4 can receive a primary two-dose coronavirus vaccine series starting on February 23 – exclusively with the inactivated virus jabs developed by Chinese firms Sinovac and Sinopharm.

The decision comes at the recommendation of Prime Minister Hun Sen in an audio address to the nation on February 17, committee head Or Vandine said in a notice later that day.

The recommended inter-dose interval will be 28 days, she said, adding that valid forms of ID will need to be presented for children to get the jab, such as birth certificates, passports, and family and residence books.
