Prime Minister Hun Sen on February 18 sent a condolence letter to Michiko Kanzaki for the loss of her husband Koji Kanzaki, a prominent Japanese philanthropist living in Cambodia, who greatly contributed to the promotion of mutual understanding between Japan and Cambodia.

 

“My wife and I are very saddened and shocked to learn of the loss of your beloved husband, Mr Koji Kanzaki. We would like to express our deepest condolences to you and your family for this immense loss. May his soul rest in peace.” Hun Sen said in his letter.

 

“Koji Kanzaki had been a true friend of Cambodia. He dedicated 38 years of his life to promote ties between Japan and Cambodia and to the construction of schools, hospitals, and physical infrastructures in Cambodia.
