March 8, 20224 yr My wife renewed her passport via the MRT Klongtoey office some years ago, and wants to do so again next week when we're in Bangkok. Does anybody know if the office is still operating and if so is an appointment required of can she just turn up? I can't find any info online. Thanks in advance

Just walk in, no appointment and took about 10 mins to apply. Probably the staff just not answering the phones, they don't seem to be very busy and it is a spacious office minimally staffed. Could not collect the passport due to Covid they said and they posted the passport back to her and all in all took about 3 days. They issued a 10 years 48 page passport. My wife pitched up, without an appointment at the MBK office, on Thursday afternoon, and like your wife, her application took about ten minutes. Her passport was delivered to our home in Hua Hin on Saturday. We were impressed with the whole process. Thanks for the advice.

In Chaegwattana, they have an express counter from 8:30 to 9:30 am. If you apply within 8:30 to 9:30 am, you can collect it same day at 3pm (No extra charge) THB 1500/- for 10 yr validity
October 11, 20223 yr what about the legalization office at MRT Klong Toey. Anyone who went there recently without having an appointment? There is a page to book appointments, but it always says free=0 whenever I try.
