A tourist visa enables a 60 day stay, but it can be extended by a further 30 days at an Immigration Office in Thailand. You can apply for two entries at a Thai Office in the PRC, but your personal circumstances will play a part in determining the decision.

A bit off-topic (sorry) but judging from looking around here in northern Thailand - and perhaps to a lesser extent throughout the kingdom - Chinese folks can get Thai citizenship relatively easy. There must be powerful underground society(s) to assist Chinese who come to reside here. It's not unlike Mexicans who come en masse to the US - most of whom become US citizens if they stick it out long enough. A laborer friend of mine, from Shezuan China, who speaks broken Thai and lives in a bamboo and thatch shack had a Thai ID card within 8 years of crossing in to Thailand illegally. He's just one of many who have made the transition. Even Mr. Thaksin's recent ancestors did much the same when arriving at Chiang Mai a few decades ago.

Is it enough to fill the applicant bank account with some money, or do we need invitations from thai citizens? Which other documents would it be smart to bring for a 20 y o chinese citizen to apply for a double entry 60 days visa?

Or would it be easier to get him in on some kind of business visa if we get an invitation from a thai company?

Cheers
