Daily News Thai Caption: Farewell Shabu....

Daily News reported that comment was rife online after a post about what happened to a diner at a leading Shabu restaurant.

It was not named of course, a symptom of defamation laws in Thailand.

The diner said they had gone to the machine for some Mocca and noticed cockroach legs in their drink.

The staff were bemused not offering so much as an apology and took the glasses away.

Seeing other people use the machine the diner went back for a milk tea - there were even more insect legs in that one!

Complaints to the admin page of the restaurant got an apology but little else.

They said that the restaurant had just sprayed and the insects probably got inside the machine as they tried to get away from the spray.

No compensation was offered.

No check on the machine was in the offing.

They just said that the staff were new and would be better trained to handle customer complaints in the future.

I trust the customers were charged extra for the additional meat being supplied.

I have heck of a job keeping those tiny ants away at home.... any little bit of food and there is soon a crowd. Can't imagine any food or drinks dispensing machine remaining bug free for long!

Whole family crunches away on insects in my house, everytime I open the 'fridge there's always a big stash inside. Revolting IMHO.

Free protein you pay for on the street.

Why complain?

Had a drink with snake in once on the Reeperbahn......the snake was dead.

One of the lads did chuck up at the table.

It's comfort food for many who grew up poor in remote villages. Reminds them of home and childhood
