s_kates81 Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 does anyone here know about the immigration fees to convert a tourist/transit visa to a NON Immigrant visa?
bluebear Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 to the best of my knowledge you cant in thailand change a tourist to a B (?) you will have to go outside the country and get a B and then the cost will depend on the consulate where you get it and then transport...........
kenkannif Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 I think if you do a search here you'll find it's doable, but like most things in Thailand it's far easier SAID than DONE. So I expect you'll have to do a run. I don't think a 30 day stamp in Visa is doable though has to be an applied for tourist Visa.
george Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 30 days stamp can not be converted. A 60 days tourist visa can be changed to a Non-Immigrant visa of desired flavour. I have been unable to confirm the charges though. Maybe someone can fill in here...
paulfr Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 I beleive you can convert from Tourist to Non Imm here. I did it today as part of getting my retirement visa. I was told I could not get a 1 year extension to my Tourist Visa and had first to convert to a Non Imm on the 2nd floor at Immigration/SuanLu. Cost was 1900B for the new 30 days plus conversion.
