Popular Post Classic Ray
Arrived 6.15am got queue number 27 , for numbered chair outside Immigration office. 8.30am let us inside got queue number 5 for marriage extension. They supply 3 forms for you and wife to fill out regarding her guaranteeing your application and you acknowledging overstay penalties. Updated bank book at ATM downstairs with todays transaction but photocopy shop not open until after 7am. Many food stalls on the area in the centre where we all used to sit in socially distanced rows last year. This year only required one TM7 form/photo and original only of family photos. In and out in 15 minutes by 9.30am, now under approval process for one month, have to keep 400,000 baht minimum (or income equivalent 40,000 baht/month) in account until approved next month. Please note this is Bangkok and two copies of everything may still be required at other offices. I can post my successful list of documents/copies required if anyone needs it. DrJack54
Thanks for report. You didn't consider making an appointment? Agree with above poster a list of what you supplied would be useful. Don't think you mentioned bank letter. At CW it's convenient to obtain on day of application along with making deposit. Arrived 6.15am!! Have never understood why folk do that. csmith
Did mine (Thai Wife 1 year Extension) at Chiangmai Immigration last Wednesday …. They were efficient and very friendly … I've been doing this since 2022. Kudo to Immigration … impressive. it took a total of 35 minutes …. The Visa Officer even proactively offered to do an updated 90 days … Here is the list from Immigration …. Ignore the highlights and ticks …. that was something just for my own organization. 1
Bangkok Barry
I love having to use Kalasin. Walk in mid-morning, maybe three or four people there, usually Lao getting whatever they need. Forms checked and out again within half an hour. Then off to Lotus and Makro and home in time for lunch.
