taxexile Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 i'm on a roll djinn , hit me with your best shot !
PeaceBlondie Posted July 24, 2007 Posted July 24, 2007 We've gone way beyond the one that wasn't guessed. The little white roadster with the cut-down doors was a Crosley Hotshot, probably with a tiny 750cc engine. Made in the USA for quite a few years after WWII, most models were tiny coupes. I think my neighbor had an original roadster. I forget, but about that French car: is Delahaye a French marque?

Very difficult indeed the little roadster And yes Delahaye was french. And for Taxexile it isn't a Simca Answer tomorrow if nobody finds after this clue They are in F1 now....more easy no?
djinn Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 Surely not Delage. Is Bugatti in F1? Ok I will give the answer ' It is a Citroen 8 Cabrio And I made a mistake about my last clue.solly solly.I took the photo ...of the next car I wanted to post here And I don't drink I will have to find an other one now
djinn Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 An easy one to let you forgive me But it was too easy (the name WAS on the car body....now no more )
PeaceBlondie Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 In my teenage years, when I could name hundreds of specific body styles, my dream car to own was a 1954 or 1956 Oldsmobile 98 Starfire convertible. I would have settled for a 1956 Lincoln ragtop in lime green, too.
djinn Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 oldsmobile super 88 , 1960 I am impressed;13 minutes after I posted it you find the correct answer I took me more time to find the photo scan and modify it Well done Tax So now try this one As it is not evident ;already a clue :1923
Mamboking Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 Guess who? Lada;copy of Fiat 124 yuo're right - VAZ 2101
stingray Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 saw this morning a 55 Belair and a 57 De Soto for sale on Sukhumvit between Central and North Pattaya. Both quite in good condition with V8 engines.
wilko Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 1959 frisky , and i think djinns is a pontiac. Meadows Frisky - another Villiers powered monster!
PeaceBlondie Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 No Wilko; not too boring as sedans go. The 1956 Ford Custom 300 Tudor sedan was boring.
wilko Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 OK - what's so special about this and what car inspired it's styling/construction?
taxexile Posted July 25, 2007 Posted July 25, 2007 the one above is a rover t4 , it had a gas turbine engine. the design eventually became the rover 2000/3500 , but i dont know what car inspired the design , david bache was the designer. the car above that is a tatra i think.
