jack71
We drove past a for sale sign and had a look at the 10 rai for an incredibly cheap price 1.4 million baht. They said it was a P.B.T.5 title and having looked it up: Por. Bor. Tor. 5 (P.B.T. 5), is an evidence showing that the occupier of a plot of land has been issued a tax number and has paid tax for using the benefit of the land. This confers no right at all but was formerly used to establish that the holder was occupying a plot of land and could apply for a Sor Kor 1. _______________ So does it mean that the holder of that title hasn't applied for Sor Kor 1. Or maybe she has and knows its impossible and thus trying to sell. Currently its just farming land and no electric/ water. But a neighbour has solar and tank water. It has stunning views. For the price Im tempted to buy it in the wifes name and put a cheap cabin or whatever on there. Go there once a week to get away from family life. Thoughts? Gottfrid
If it is farming land, it´s most likely land given by the government for the purpose of farming. Many times not even allowed to build a house on. That is why it does not come with a real land title deed.

Get them to apply and offer help to pay if it will get you deeds for the land.
