Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has admitted that he had perhaps misjudged female Thai rapper Danupha “Minnie” Khanatheerakul, a.k.a. Milli, and now praises the young artist for helping to promote Thailand at the world-famous Coachella music festival in California.

Palang Pracharath MP for Nakhon Sawan province Nirote Sunthornlekha said yesterday (Thursday) that the prime minister admitted he was loaded with so much work that he occasionally makes mistakes, which have been pointed out by Danupha previously. According to Nirote, Gen. Prayut said he would reconsider his conduct.

The government chief whip said that the prime minister appreciates Danupha’s performance at the music festival, during which she ate mango sticky rice, which has helped promote the Thai dessert internationally.

There is a simple and easy fix for that.

Simply resign as PM and all the current problems you have will just melt away. Of course you will then face more problems, but with your personal skills and the army's backing you will overcome the as well.

Huh? First of all, when does he NOT make mistakes? His entire 8 years has been one mistake after another.

The biggest mistake he makes on a daily basis, is not resigning, and saving the nation further grief, backwards movement and economic destruction.

The man is utterly despised by all but his remaining 2%.

"perhaps maybe misjudged" but not ever sorry for her over the other 20 musicians and artists, who criticised him for a failed vax program a year  ago and were prosecuted by him.

Now, that she shoot in fame internationally, he is calming down.

He is boot, as always

You have missed the interesting bit.

Her 'songs' criticise the government  - especially the PM.

She has been fined for spreading fake news and is being sued by Prayut for 'slander'. He is trying to put her in prison!

I just clicked to see more of her flesh...never read a thing.

Is it really part of the Thai prime minister's job description that he must keep track of Thai nationals' eating habits in public places abroad and comment on them.

Very 'Cringeworthy' story, nobody in the world gives a toss over her and was forgotten about 20 seconds after she ate ' Muk-muon' and the prime minister, well he is very shallow and shouldn't be in the position he is in.

Same, I was looking for a camel toe which can often be found lurking in these otherwise non-newsworthy stories.

So you know and understand everything that goes on behind closed doors in this country do you?

Imagine this dinosaur being a credible judge on anything, much less popular culture?

It would be best for everyone if he just resigned. That is long overdue.

No. But I talk to alot of people, my wife has close family in local politics, and everyone says the same thing. Prayuth is a disaster. He has failed the people to a stunning degree and is despised.

So hearsay from your hearsay then. Thanks for just confirming that for the forum.

But it's only important that he please less than this 2% - most particular, a handful of the most influential.

That's why will see him around for another few years, as the foundational oligarchy maintains itself as it always has.

.....unless there's a mass rebellion, in which I can't foresee anytime in the near or distant future.

General may want to reconsider. The mango may have been yellow but it looks like she herself is a red shirt.

Should read "that the prime minister admitted he was loaded with so many brown envelopes that he regularly needs time to open them and count what's inside and makes mistakes"

Maybe he could set those 200-ish folks, who dared express opinions, and are held in prison without bail, free?

Police were instructed to investigate critics of the government and, as a result, Danupha was served a summons to acknowledge a defamation charge against her and paid a fine of 2,000 baht on July 22nd.

So has he returned the 2,000 baht? Dropped the Defamation charge?

He appears weaker and weaker every day. Classic thai Paper Tiger.

He's been one big mistake since birth.

If the umpteenth constitution is still valid, then there will be a PM change within the next few months. They may not be overworking for more than eight years and he grabbed the PM sedan chair in spring 2014 and subsequently put into power and approval - see the Royal Gazette.

So, lean back, enjoy the ride and let's see who is taking over the baton. Meanwhile lets all give the kid in California a standing ovation for her good work by eating mango sticky rice, which will help to  promote the Thai dessert internationally. The export of sticky rice all over Southern Argentine, the North Pole and Angola will fix Thailand's export worries, keep shipping lines busy like hell while Thai Airways will avoid bankruptcy by flying all those mangoes in all the corners of this planet.

Any other pending issue on the PM's plate?

He sure hop on that ban wagon quick anything to take advantage of an opportunity!

This time… Yes

That's a generous way to put it. I'm pretty much of the opposite view, occasionally he gets things right.

While sticky rice and Mango try to help promote Thailand to the world, local rescue services are tarnishing the image by waging turf warfare...
