Nope. Prior to 1948, the ratio of Palestinian terrorists to Jewish terrorists was miniscule. It is a fact that the British gave up on the Mandate due to Jewish terrorism. The big mistake was other Arab nations influencing Palestine to reject partition. Maybe it would not have completely curtailed Jewish aggression. Perhaps there would not be peace but it would certainly be better than what Israel is doing now. Israel is a paramilitary state. When every citizen has served in the IDF, there's no other way to describe it. Yes, the Arab countries started war against Israel in 1948, never dreaming the new country could defeat them. Egypt, Transjordan, Syria, Iraq, Lebanon with support of Saudi Arabia, Sudan and Yemen. However, the result--the Nakba--has nothing to do with this war. Displacing 80% of Palestinians, 3/4 of a million human beings, rendering them stateless, depopulating 500 villages--that's all on the lack of mercy shown by Israel right to this day.
