At Ram Hospital in Chiang Mai, I once spent a total of 36 hours in a dentist's chair getting various things done, over about 15 appointments. I hate to think of the OP having his mouth open for the same period of time. -

They are going to have to significantly improve processing times for the evisa system before they try implementing. I come to Thailand for 5.5 to 6 months each winter. It took 8 weeks to get an METV last year and 7 weeks the year before. I'm already closing in on 5 weeks this year with no response yet, and getting really frustrated with the system. Agents are telling you to wait until 1 month before arrival to book a condo rental, but you need accomodations confirmed before they will issue the evisa. Total disconnect. Also, how is this going to work for people doing border runs on the visa exempt system if you have to get your application submitted 1.5 to 2 months before doing your border run? -

Australian Aged Pension
Just to be clear, I'm only talking about these 6 years counting in the 35 years for application for OAP (nothing to do with ongoing portability as I will sell my unit then). I do not believe Centrelink will ask how many months a year did I spend out of Australia 'on holiday' during those 6 years to determine how many of those years should count towards the 35 years. To me it's clear that all 6 years count as I was clearly an Aussie citizen and tax resident that just happened to do a lot of holidays in retirement? (It's only an issue because I spent 16 years working overseas that clearly don't count) -

The BYD dolphin does have safety features that was supposed to prevent this accident. They are: Automatic Brake Assist (AEB) Lane Departure Warning System (LDW) Lane Keeping Assist System (LKS) Intelligent speed control system (ICC) Front Collision Warning System (FCW) Rear Collision Warning System (RCW) I do know that some of them can be disabled, and some can't. Would need to check with the dolphins owners 🙂 Edit: I think I'm wrong, it needs to have some Emergency Brake assist, not the Warning System. The Toyota fortuner does has emergency brake assist, it saved me one time from rear ending someone. Just once in 5 years! there is always a first The BYD Safety should be this one: - ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System): This system encompasses several safety features, including Forward Collision Warning (FCW) and Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB). These systems monitor the traffic ahead and will give the driver a warning if a front collision is likely. If the driver does not respond in time, the car can automatically apply the brakes to prevent or mitigate the impact of the collision. -

The ETA exists primarily so they can deny boarding to the aircraft to save lots of time when the people who will be denied entry arrive in Thailand. It's the same with all similar schemes, the USA started this mess and tit for tat diplomacy has seen it spread all over the world now. Lets not fool ourselves for even one minute - this entire system is designed to automate the denial of entry of people they don't want to allow into the country by stopping them from getting on flights heading to Thailand. I'm glad this doesn't appear to affect people who hold visas. -

very probably, and if there isn't yet there will be one day and they have yours already, als well as passport number , banlk account number telephone number etc etc, all for your security and safety blah blah blah , probably worth a few bob to any call centers too.
