Tony and Chanpen Bua Yai
Hi All, Can anyone point me in the direction of a Thai based travel insurance company that provide cover for visiting the UK. I did contact one I used in 2018 but they basically told me to FO as they consider the UK to be a high risk Covid country. I know it is not a requirement of entry but I would prefer my girlfriend to have cover whilst in the UK for medical and accidents as any emergency medical costs will be horrendous. If this question has been asked before and there are links would be grateful to receive them. Many thanks, Tony

Just tying up some loose ends and will be purchasing from them. Thanks for your reply ????
soi3eddie
Insurance for a visit by your GF to the UK for accident/emergency coverage? Entirely unneccessary as the NHS (National Health Service) will cover free of charge and not chase payment for emergency treatment. I've had a number of overseas clients need emergency treatment in the UK and they were surprised when never to have been asked for payment nor insurance details. Some European countries (Germany for one I beleive) do require health insurance though. If she's not a "health tourist" but in need of emergency care it will be given.
