The ministry of public health has said it will consider lowering its Covid-19 alert level this week as daily caseloads have continued to fall. The level is currently at 3.

 

Thailand's Deputy Prime Minister has rejected a petition to replace Thai numerals with standard numbers used in Western countries in all official documents. He said official documents and school textbooks in hard-copy form must continue to use Thai numerals since Thai is the official language.

 

A crowd of around 100 protesters calling themselves the "movement against draft legislation to annihilate public gatherings"  had camped in front of the United Nations offices moved to Government House, to demand the government scrap the bill that they say will check activities of NGO’s. They claim the  bill was against the constitution and principles of human rights. 

 

Several shipping containers have been spotted after Eighteen containers fell overboard from a barge on Sunday en route from Trang to Penang island in Malaysia, five had come ashore on a small island while others were seen floating off the coast of Langkawi. Two tugs were sent to locate the rest of the missing containers.
