webfact
Daily News Thai Caption: Beware of criminals Daily News went to investigate after a Facebook warning by a pharmacist on the Bang Kruay to Sai Noi Road near Land Villa estate in Nonthaburi. Yuthaphon Rattanapong, 40, the husband of the owner of the chemists, said a woman aged about 45-50 had come into the store that had 3 or 4 people working at the time and bought an iten for about 400 baht and paid with a 1,000 baht note. After the change was given she claimed that a 500 baht note had not been given to her. No one in the store had noticed. The woman was adamant and used a variety of distraction techniques to convince the seller that it was their mistake. She was given 500 baht from the till and left. Thus it was the pharmacy that was short changed, not the customer who escaped with the goods and with more money than they came in with. Yuthaphan said this was happening more and more in these tough economic times and what with other forms of theft from stores it was all terrible for shopkeepers. He advised that CCTV is checked in such situations before extra change is given and the customer leaves. -- © Copyright ASEAN NOW 2022-06-06 - Cigna offers a range of visa-compliant plans that meet the minimum requirement of medical treatment, including COVID-19, up to THB 3m. Never ever fall for this trick, count the change twice and say it out loud to the customer when handing over the change.

StayinThailand2much
So, does the seller suffer from Alzheimer's, as he didn't seem to remember that he had just given a 500 baht note as change?
